Cravings

People always talk about cravings
and I never thought
I would crave the
Shop N Save near my childhood home

For something to do, I would head to the grocery store with my mom

Such an effortless task then
Now feels like a mountain to climb

I crave my mom
Helping me decide what cereal to pick
I crave my home grocery store
Entering the bakery section
into the produce section
then dairy
then meat
and a million isles in between

Those times felt so abundant
and now
I long for them
